2024 Xinflix Autumn Trade Summit:
3-Day Highlights and Takeaways

With the support of all three levels of Canadian government and key officials, the 2024 Autumn Trade Forum was successfully held from November 6 to 8 at the Xinflix Media. The event was hosted by the Xinflix Entrepreneurs Chamber of Commerce and Xinflix Media, co-organized by The Justin Poy Agency, and supported by various partners.

Forum Highlights

This annual trade event, now in its fourth year, has continually refined its focus and themes, solidifying its influence in the business community. It has garnered widespread recognition, attracting diplomats from multiple countries, business elites, and representatives from various ethnic chambers of commerce.

For this year’s Autumn Trade Summit, we were honored to receive title sponsorship and full support from BVCI .

In addition, we received strong support from the organizers of the Canadian International AutoShow in Toronto, who joined us as a theme sponsor.

This year, we were honored to collaborate with three prestigious community organizations: the Toronto FACT Alliance, Canada Habla Español, and CNIW (Canadian Network for International Wellness). The 2024 Autumn Trade Forum provided an excellent platform for businesses and investors to engage in deep discussions and exchanges, driving greater commercial and trade development. Xinflix Media equipped the event with its custom-designed real-time translation system, ensuring seamless communication and smooth interactions for all attendees.

DAY 1 - Ethnic cultural economic Growth

FACT, a registered non-profit organization, has built a network for cultural and business exchanges through events such as the Asian Food Festival, AsialiciousTO, and the Asian Business and Trade Expo. FACT promotes the diversity of Toronto's Asian-Canadian community, celebrating the richness of Asian culture.

Through collaboration, advocacy, and innovative strategies, FACT has become a driving force in advancing the community's progress and representation in socio-economic fields.

DAY 2: Latino Economic Market Growth

Canada Habla Español, an organization playing a vital role in promoting and preserving Spanish-speaking culture in Canada, is dedicated to supporting the innovation and advancement of the Hispanic community in areas such as education, cultural preservation, and business development. It aims to foster the community's achievements in socio-economic growth, serving as an undisputed representative of the Spanish-speaking population in Canada.

The Summit was inaugurated by Mr. Cheng Hongbo, Acting Consul General of the People's Republic of China, and Ms. Hazel Hernandez, Consul General of El Salvador.

Both Consuls General expressed high expectations for the economic and trade prospects in the Latin American region and emphasized the importance of strengthening cooperation between China and Latin America.

Following their remarks, representatives from the Ministries of Commerce of Colombia, Peru, Brazil, Chile, and Mexico provided detailed insights into their respective countries’ business environments, market opportunities, and existing collaborations with the Chinese market.

The themed panel session featured elite representatives from various industries, including Handi Han, CEO of FoodsUp Canada; Angela Contreras, National Key Account Manager for New Business at Grace Food; Resfa Ramirez, Manager of Latin Travel Agency; Gambino Espinosa, CEO of Specials Coffee El Cielo; and Efren Valadez, General Manager of a Mexican real estate project.

They engaged in an in-depth discussion and shared insights on the economic landscape of the Latin American market and potential avenues for collaboration.

DAY 3-Health Economic Growth

The final day of the forum opened with an introduction by renowned host, Dr. Han Xiao. The event drew experts and scholars from several prestigious Canadian universities and medical institutions.

Professor Wang Peizhong from the University of Toronto, public health expert Professor Wang Li, and leading figures in psychology and nutrition such as Professor Yang Lixia, Professor Wang Lu, and Dr. Wang Ye shared their latest research findings and valuable insights, delivering a rich and enlightening session on health and wellness.

The keynote sessions of the forum covered a wide range of topics, including vaccination, COVID-19, nutrition and health for middle-aged and elderly populations, active aging and eldercare, mental health, dental care, and physical rehabilitation. These subjects, closely tied to everyday life, provided valuable insights for the attendees.

As the title sponsor of this year’s Autumn Trade Forum, the Toronto AutoShow Organization, along with sub-forum sponsor Maple Kite International, made their presence felt by showcasing their active contributions to promoting both health and economic development.

Additionally, the CEO of VVT Medical, an Israeli pharmaceutical company, joined via Zoom from Tel Aviv to introduce their latest medical innovations. Their patented solutions offer safe and effective treatments for those in need, highlighting the company’s commitment to advancing global healthcare.

Autumn Trade Summit Closing Gala Dinner

The Closing Gala Dinner opened spectacularly with a vibrant performance by Dantitude Arts School, setting an energetic tone for the evening.

Following the performance, hosts Justin Poy and Patrick Hung jointly kicked off the closing dinner, marking the start of a memorable celebration.

Former Canadian Senator Victor Oh and Acting Consul General of the Chinese Consulate in Toronto, Cheng Hongbo, personally presented certificates to the organizers of each sub-forum and the corporate sponsors, recognizing their contributions to the 2024 Autumn Trade Forum.

Godwin Chan, Deputy Mayor of Richmond Hill, Simon Cui, Councillor for Ward 4 in Richmond Hill, and Amanda Yeung Collucci, Councillor for Ward 6 in Markham, each shared their insights on the opportunities and challenges in economic and trade cooperation within their respective sectors.

Following this, James Wang, founder of the Xinflix Entrepreneurs Chamber of Commerce, Patrick Hung, Co-Chair, Shero Li, Secretary-General, and Justin Poy, founder of the Justin Poy Agency, presented certificates of appreciation to former Canadian Senator Victor Oh and Acting Consul General Cheng Hongbo of the Chinese Consulate in Toronto.

These certificates expressed deep gratitude for their unwavering support and selfless contributions to the Xinflix Entrepreneurs Chamber of Commerce, Xinflix Media, and the annual Trade Forum.

The highlight of the evening was the announcement by Xinflix Media of the upcoming 2025 Huacai Awards Ceremony, a highly anticipated event scheduled for January 16, 2025, at the prestigious TIFF Lightbox, home of the Toronto International Film Festival.

This year, the awards have been significantly upgraded, encompassing a wider range of categories and promoting greater diversity. The ceremony will celebrate individuals and organizations who have demonstrated exceptional brilliance and excellence in their respective fields.

As the dinner drew to a close, James Wang,  Founder of the Xinflix Entrepreneurs Chamber of Commerce, delivered a heartfelt closing speech. He extended his gratitude to the co-organizers and the Chamber team for their dedicated efforts.

In concluding his remarks, James Wang quoted the proverb, “If you want to go fast, go alone; if you want to go far, go together,” emphasizing the importance of unity and collaboration for future success.

He expressed his hopes for collaborating with more like-minded partners to forge an even brighter future together. He then officially announced the successful conclusion of the 2024 Xinflix Autumn Trade Forum, marking another milestone achievement for the event.
