2024 Xinflix Spring Economic and Trade Summit Review
Supported and encouraged by the Prime Minister of Canada, federal ministers, the Mayor of Markham, and distinguished speakers and attendees, the 2024 Xinflix Spring Economic and Trade Summit was successfully held from May 8th to 10th at the Xinflix Auditorium.
This economic and Summit, now in its third consecutive year, has continuously adjusted its focus and themes, further solidifying its influence within the business community. The Summit has garnered widespread social recognition, attracting participation from consuls general of various countries, business representatives, and diverse ethnic chambers of commerce.
The 2024 Xinflix Spring Economic and Trade Summit brought together business professionals and government officials from around the world, providing entrepreneurs, government agencies, and investors with an ideal platform for in-depth discussions and collaborative opportunities.

First Day Topic: How to Invest in Canada?
On the first day of the Summit, the focus was on discussing how businesses can enter the Canadian market through various pathways.

Four companies shared their experiences and strategies, with particular attention given to the new concepts and innovative approaches of a Sri Lankan human resources company. They utilized Sri Lanka's excellent workforce resources to inspire the attending entrepreneurs, highlighting the need to promote ethnic-specific business cultures. The forum aims to help institutions from diverse business backgrounds step out of their niches and integrate into the mainstream market.
Through this discussion, each company gained valuable insights and financing options relevant to their businesses.
First Day Topic: Global Development Opportunities
On the second day of the summit, the focus was on global perspectives, concentrating on the development opportunities worldwide influenced by China's Belt and Road Initiative.

During the summit, the Consul General of El Salvador, along with several business representatives and local enterprises, actively participated. The Consul General of El Salvador introduced the country's latest policies, rich geographical resources, friendly cultural history, and expressed a strong desire to welcome forum guests to establish business collaborations in El Salvador.

The introduction by Canada's Boduo Group garnered significant attention. The representative from Boduo Group provided a detailed overview of the company's strengths, their preparations for ventures in South America, and their intentions. This presentation offered valuable advice and inspiration for companies planning to invest in South America.
After participating in the Xinflix Entrepreneurs Chamber of Commerce delegation to El Salvador, the leadership of Boduo Group quickly prepared an investment plan within five days. They signed an investment agreement with local partners, successfully creating a case study of venturing into the South American market through El Salvador. This provided the many South American attendees with valuable insights and pathways for collaborating with the Chinese community.
Additionally, Patrick Hung, Co-Chair of the Xinflix Entrepreneurs Chamber, had previously visited El Salvador on behalf of the chamber. During the forum, he shared his observations on the local situation and the vast development opportunities available there.

2nd Day Topic: New Business Opportunities In the Asian Market
The afternoon forum on "New Business Opportunities in the Asian Market" garnered significant attention as the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office has been actively supporting overseas brands' collaboration with Hong Kong enterprises. This initiative has drawn widespread interest and praise from businesses in the Canadian financial sector.

Emily Mo, the Director of the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office, first delivered a keynote speech via video, introducing Hong Kong's new path for external development. She expressed her hope to assist more Hong Kong enterprises in expanding abroad and, by leveraging their successful experiences overseas, contribute back to Hong Kong's economic development. This, in turn, aims to bring new vitality to the economic growth of both Hong Kong and Asia.
Benson Lau, the founder of FuwaFuwa, a company originating from Hong Kong, took the stage with his team to introduce FuwaFuwa's development in Canada and their plans for expansion. The Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office has played an active role in promoting the company's growth, significantly enhancing the brand's recognition in society.
A representative from the Consulate General of Bangladesh in Toronto also delivered a speech and brought a congratulatory message from the Consul General for the forum. This allowed the audience to glimpse the opportunities in these rapidly developing countries and understand the vibrant role Asia plays in this century. The attendees experienced a brief yet captivating auditory journey through Asia.
3rd Day Topic: Opportunities in Markham

The "New Opportunities in Markham" themed forum on the third day became the highlight of the entire event.

Chris Collucci, the President and CEO of the Markham Board of Trade, one of the co-organizers, delivered the opening keynote speech. He introduced the overall economic and trade landscape and environment of the City of Markham.

Following that, the President of the Ontario Automobile Association gave a speech via a live Zoom connection, providing a detailed analysis of the potential and likelihood of success for Chinese electric vehicle brands entering the Ontario market. He also presented the latest data and analysis of the global electric vehicle market.
He emphasized that Canada is the only developed country that has yet to introduce Chinese electric vehicles, and the Ontario Automobile Association is actively engaging in government lobbying to break down barriers and bring Chinese electric vehicles to the Canadian market as soon as possible.

Following that, the CEO of the electronic currency trading platform Virgo shared the company's operational experience and industry advantages in the electronic platform field. He highlighted the key technological advantages of the company's platform, emphasizing the convenience of electronic currency transactions in the commercial market as an inevitable path for global economic development. Virgo's achievements in the electronic currency market garnered recognition from the attendees, enhancing the company's social visibility and creating more limitless possibilities in the market.

Z Square Group introduced their innovative design concepts in commercial real estate planning and management, emphasizing their unique experience in helping businesses maximize the value of their commercial properties. Their expertise highlighted the exceptional capabilities of Chinese entrepreneurs in the real estate and design industries, setting a model for companies interested in entering the real estate sector.
Closing Ceremony
The closing ceremony was the final segment of the forum and the most anticipated event. The newly appointed Canadian Minister of Small Business, Rechie Valdez, Canadian Member of Parliament, Paul Chiang, and Markham Mayor, Frank Scarpitti, personally presented certificates to the speakers and business elite representatives, recognizing their outstanding contributions to the commercial sector.
