The Xinflix Entrepreneurs Chamber of Commerce was invited to El Salvador for a business and trade exchange trip.
On April 14, 2024, the Xinflix Entrepreneurs Chamber of Commerce was invited by Her Excellency Alexandra Hill Tinoco, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of El Salvador, and Mr. Paul Steiner, President of the National Commission of Micro and Small Enterprises (CONAMYPE), to visit El Salvador. The trip was a friendly visit aimed at discussing the country's economic development and experiencing the dynamics of its economic market firsthand.
The delegation was led by Patrick Hung, Co-Chairman of the Xinflix Entrepreneurs Chamber of Commerce. It included elite members and partners of the Chamber, with the goal of enhancing mutual understanding, discussing cooperative ventures, and jointly exploring the potential for expanded business prospects with this neighboring nation of Canada.
During this seven-day trip, the delegation will delve into El Salvador's business environment and learn about the country's development plans. They will thoroughly explore cooperation schemes and business development potential in various sectors, including agriculture, aquaculture, handicrafts, mining, tourism, and new energy. Through this visit, we aim to lay a solid foundation for broader cooperation between both sides.

This trip to El Salvador marks an important step in deepening cooperation between the Xinflix Entrepreneurs Chamber of Commerce and the country's governmental business sectors. Under the leadership of El Salvador's new president, there has been a significant improvement in public safety and the business environment, presenting a renewed spirit and attractive investment opportunities.
El Salvador not only boasts a large and diverse workforce but also features unique geographical characteristics, exceptional natural tourism resources, and a wide variety of small business products. Notably, El Salvador is the first country in the world to adopt Bitcoin as a legal tender, giving it substantial experience and a technological edge in the field of digital finance.
As a signatory of China's Belt and Road Initiative and an important cooperation partner in Latin America, El Salvador has demonstrated potential and opportunities for deepening global cooperation and development.
Chinese enterprises have invested over ten billion dollars in El Salvador, enhancing the local infrastructure with improved roads and port facilities; they have also donated an international-scale library and diverse venues, among other cultural and infrastructure projects. These contributions have enriched the cultural life of the Salvadoran people, created more convenient living experiences, subtly improved the local population's quality of life, and brought tangible benefits.
During this visit, the delegation will have the opportunity to personally experience the results of Chinese overseas investments and feel the warmth and achievements of China-El Salvador cooperation. The delegation's visit was warmly received and thoughtfully arranged by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of El Salvador. On the first day of their arrival, the Ministry of Trade Development will host a welcome ceremony, with the national television station and mainstream media outlets, including reporters, present to cover the event. This will provide the visiting delegation an opportunity to convey the chamber's message and its desire and commitment to fostering friendly cooperation with Canada.
In addition, Frank Scarpitti, the Mayor of Markham, Canada, will use the opportunity of this delegation's visit to El Salvador to extend friendly greetings to the newly elected President of El Salvador and to introduce the city conditions of Markham.
Patrick Hung, the Co-Chairman of the Xinflix Entrepreneurs Chamber of Commerce, expressed sincere gratitude to the Salvadoran government for the comprehensive care provided during the visit. The government not only planned a detailed itinerary for the delegation but also took great care to meet the needs of every participant in aspects such as dining, accommodation, and transportation.
